RII60520 – Advanced Diploma of Civil Construction Design

Course Description

This qualification reflects the role of an individual working as a senior civil works designer or a para- professional designer, who supports professional engineers. They perform tasks that are broad, specialised, complex and technical and include strategic areas and initiating activities.

They are responsible for the design of complex projects to ensure the implementation of the client’s site requirements and are required to demonstrate self-directed application of theoretical and technical knowledge and initiate solutions to technical problems or management requirements.

RPL – Recognised Prior Learning, You may be able to shorten the length of your chosen course by measuring skills acquired through work, life experiences or qualifications obtained from formal studies or training. Australian Qualification Framework qualifications and statements of attainment issued by another registered organisation will be recognised by acknowledging Education. Entry Requirements

– 18 Years or Over

– Minimum Year 12 Education or equivalent

English Requirement

• IELTS 5.5 Certificate or Equivalent OR

• Atlantic CollegeLevel 3 ACSF PLUS

Academic Requirements

• Minimum year 12 or

• Lower level qualification (e.g. Certificate IV in Business)

Pathways

After achieving RII60520 Advanced Diploma of Civil Construction Design, students may undertake Bachelor of Civil Engineering or other Bachelor level qualifications.
